Your Donation Matters

Be Part of MPA's Seed Fund

  • Our monthly giving program is all about planting hope, growing power, and harvesting change by supporting MPA's community organizing and training programs.
  • Your donation will go to support things like: knocking on doors in 100 Maine towns each year, advocating for bills in the Maine legislature, training volunteers, hiring organizers in more Maine counties, and educating the public though regular reporting on our MaineBeacon.com news website.
  • We are an organization of thousands of everyday people fighting for justice. We don’t want to be funded by a handful of wealthy donors—we want to be funded by members like you.
  • Monthly donations by thousands of members add up fast (4,000 people giving just $5/month means $240,000 a year for MPA’s work).
  • Giving monthly using your bank account (instead of a credit card) means NO money going into the pockets of greedy credit card companies and more money going straight to work for progressive social change.

I have been a proud MPA member for many years because we stand up for all the people. MPA is an effective organization, and we know how to win campaigns for social justice. But for me, the most important part of MPA is the way the organization has supported me as a transgender person. I’m making a legacy gift because being part of MPA is more than working with a team, it’s like being part of a family.

MPA has played a huge role in my life and it is extremely important to me that the organization continues into the future. That is why I am including MPA in my estate planning. So many of MPA’s campaigns are important to me—especially the Mallinckrodt lawsuit and cleaning up the Penobscot River. MPA has proven time and time again that everyday people can fight together with the drive and commitment it takes to see initiatives through to the end and win.

I am proud to be including MPA in my will. I’ve been fed by MPA, physically and spiritually, far in excess of what I will pledge upon my departure. MPA and its leaders and volunteers give me much hope for the future of Maine and I look forward to helping MPA for years to come.
