Basebuilding Training

For experienced organizers, newbies, and the merely organizing-curious: 3 days of theory and practice on the basics. We’ll cover leadership development (including how to launch teams of members to take ownership of campaigns and projects), fundraising, canvassing, and so much more! This training particularly emphasizes role plays and live practice out in the real world.

We aim to offer these trainings to as many people as possible to strengthen the progressive movement. While there are costs involved—staff time, food, venue rental, and materials—the fee we’re asking for covers the basics. However, we don’t want cost to be a barrier for anyone. If you can’t pay the full amount, simply pay what you can afford. And if you’re unable to pay at all, please apply anyway—we’ll do our best to accommodate you! If accepted into the program, the trainer will discuss with you about payment options and sliding fees.
