Story of Self (Monthly Organizing Fundamentals)

Most of us have faced challenges and had to make (sometimes impossible) choices. Telling the stories of how we found ourselves in those situations is one way we make sense of the world and start to imagine a new one.

In this training we will learn the basics of personal story sharing in the context of community organizing and advocacy (sometimes known as public narrative). We will leave more prepared to share our own stories and experiences in public contexts, and begin to understand the persuasive power of stories as a way of connecting people through values and leading others to action.

This training is open to all progressive staff and any volunteer who is ready to take a leap in their organizing skills. Register here!
