Running for Office — Part 1

Timed to help people considering a run for municipal office, this training will cover how to tell your personal story, build your campaign team, and raise the money you need to win.

Because space is limited, we may not be able to accept everyone who applies. Please tell us a little bit about yourself and why you want to come to the training. Deadline to apply is Sunday January 25th, 2026. Apply here! Cost is $50.00 per person.

We aim to offer these trainings to as many people as possible to strengthen the progressive movement. While there are costs involved—staff time, food, venue rental, and materials—the fee we’re asking for covers the basics. However, we don’t want cost to be a barrier for anyone. If you can’t pay the full amount, simply pay what you can afford. And if you’re unable to pay at all, please apply anyway—we’ll do our best to accommodate you! If accepted into the program, the trainer will discuss with you about payment options and sliding fees.
