This training is open to all progressive staff and any volunteer ready to take a leap in their skills to plan and execute a non-violent direct actions for de-escalation. This event series will occur the third Thursday of every month, 5:30-7:30 pm, at the Lewiston MPA office.<\/p>\n
Because space is limited, we may not be able to accept everyone who applies. Be sure to answer the question that allows you to tell us a little about yourself and why you would like to attend the event.<\/p>\n
We aim to offer these trainings to as many people as possible to strengthen the progressive movement. While there are costs involved\u2014staff time, food, venue rental, and materials\u2014the fee we\u2019re asking for covers the basics. However, we don\u2019t want cost to be a barrier for anyone. If you can\u2019t pay the full amount, simply pay what you can afford. And if you\u2019re unable to pay at all, please apply anyway\u2014we\u2019ll do our best to accommodate you! If accepted into the program, the trainer will discuss with you about payment options and sliding fees.<\/p>\n
