Open to staff and volunteers who want to learn how to talk to media so that they control the story, not the reporter or the other side. Skills will include preparing for an interview, making points and answering questions so you\u2019re more likely to be used in the ultimate story, staying on message no matter what, and connecting with reporters in a positive and productive way. Training will include group\/pair practice and participants will leave with materials they can use for the future.<\/p>\n

Because space is limited, we may not be able to accept everyone who applies. Please tell us a little bit about yourself and why you want to come to the training. Deadline to apply is Monday February 16th, 2026. Apply here!<\/a><\/strong> Cost is $50.00 per person.<\/em><\/p>\n

We aim to offer these trainings to as many people as possible to strengthen the progressive movement. While there are costs involved\u2014staff time, food, venue rental, and materials\u2014the fee we\u2019re asking for covers the basics. However, we don\u2019t want cost to be a barrier for anyone. If you can\u2019t pay the full amount, simply pay what you can afford. And if you\u2019re unable to pay at all, please apply anyway\u2014we\u2019ll do our best to accommodate you!
