SUMMARY:Basebuilding Training
DESCRIPTION:For experienced organizers\, newbies\, and the merely organizing-curious: 3 days of theory and practice on the basics. We’ll cover leadership development (including how to launch teams of members to take ownership of campaigns and projects)\, fundraising\, canvassing\, and so much more! This training particularly emphasizes role plays and live practice out in the real world. \nBecause space is limited\, we may not be able to accept everyone who applies. Please tell us a little bit about yourself and why you want to come to the training. Deadline to apply is Wednesday April 1st\, 2026. Apply here! Cost is $150.00 per person. \nWe aim to offer these trainings to as many people as possible to strengthen the progressive movement. While there are costs involved—staff time\, food\, venue rental\, and materials—the fee we’re asking for covers the basics. However\, we don’t want cost to be a barrier for anyone. If you can’t pay the full amount\, simply pay what you can afford. And if you’re unable to pay at all\, please apply anyway—we’ll do our best to accommodate you! If accepted into the program\, the trainer will discuss with you about payment options and sliding fees.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Shenna Bellows for Governor team making calls to voters to identify supporters and volunteers ahead of the June primary. \nWe’ll hop on the line at 5 for a brief training\, and then we’ll make calls together 5:15-7 and do a quick debrief at the end. Campaign staff will be on hand for questions and tips. You will need access to a phone and a computer. \nDirect outreach to voters is the proven method of engagement.
